About Me

Help Wanted: The Flower Mandalas Project! For the past four years, I've been taking pictures of flowers and manipulating the images to form mandalas. I'd like to assemble these images into a book, and I'd like your help. What I have in mind is a book of 52 images, with one page containing a flower mandala and the opposite page a quotation that in some way complements the image. My intent is for each image-and-quote pair to resonate with a fundamental aspect of human experience. Carl Jung, one of the fathers of modern psychology, believed mandalas are a pathway to the essential Self and used them in his own personal transformation. In a small way, as both mandala artist and psychotherapist, I carry on Jung's tradition. I hope publication of these images will further the process of harnessing the power of the mandala to heal. I welcome any and all responses. I will include, in the book's forward, how I came to the quotes I eventually end up using. Thanks in advance! - David J. Bookbinder (phototransformations@verizon.net)

This one is extremely beautiful! It is so full of life and joyful energy! It is so special that you forget about yourself while looking at it. I will make it a poster and hang in the room of a depressed person, I am sure this image will heal any pain.
Thanks, I appreciate your comments.
